Inclusive employment has been a fundamental principle at UTB since the organisation was founded. For nearly forty years, we have been committed to creating a working environment in which people are given opportunities, can participate fully, and feel welcome and valued. Diversity, in all its forms, is a strength within our organisation. That conviction continues to provide clear direction as UTB moves forward on its growth journey.
This ambition requires continuous attention. An inclusive workplace is not created through good intentions alone. It also requires us to critically assess how we attract, guide and support people. That is why our HR colleagues are taking part in the Voka WELT programme.
The programme provides an opportunity to deepen our knowledge, exchange experiences and translate new insights into practices within our own organisation. Topics such as recruitment, onboarding, development, well-being and leadership are approached from the perspective of how talent can be enabled to develop and contribute sustainably.
For UTB, this programme is not an isolated initiative. It forms part of a broader development in which we continue to connect our founding values with today’s realities. As our organisation grows, we also want our HR policies and practices to evolve deliberately alongside it. The programme helps us reflect on what is already firmly embedded and where there is still room for further development.
In this way, we are building, step by step, a working environment in which inclusion is not only a guiding principle, but is also reflected in our daily decisions and collaboration. The conviction established nearly forty years ago continues to guide us today. By participating in the Voka WELT programme, we are taking the next step in further advancing that ambition.
